Inauguration of the Techno Com Literacy Club of Commerce Department.
The Department of Commerce proudly inaugurated the Techno Com Literacy Club on 29th July at the Commerce AV Hall. The Inaugural Ceremony was dignified by the presence of the Dr. G. John, HoD of Commerce, Dr. Dennis Edward Fernando, Club Coordinator, faculty members of Commerce and students. 

Mr. Timothy Kingsley, Manager – Business Development, Synergy SBS & Happy Skilling was the Recourse Person, who delivered the Inaugural Address on “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Modern Commerce”. 
The event commenced with a soulful prayer song to invoke divine blessings.  The gathering was welcomed by Ms. Bastina J of I M.Com., who expressed gratitude to the resource person, faculty, and students for their presence. 
The Dynamics and Objectives of the Techno Com Literacy Club were shared by Ms. Mirdulla A of I M.Com.  She highlighted that the club will host regular workshops, hands-on training, guest lectures, and competitions to develop students’ digital literacy in Commerce.  Then, Dr. G. John, Head of the Department of Commerce, who spoke about the evolving landscape of commerce and the need for interdisciplinary learning.

The resource person started with an amazing question WHAT IS AI? Also, adding the difference between normal AI and GENERATIVE AI. He mentioned about the various accounting software such as QUICKBOOKS, ZOHO BOOKS, which eradicates hindrance of time in Bookkeeping. 
He also spoke about the most important aspects of digital marketing segmentation and its uses in the social media domain.  How the AIRTEL SIM is been giving the PERPLEXITY AL tool free for one year and its uses. The session can to an end by highlighting the importance of AI in all fields and especially in commerce field and explained about the various tools . ‘Use AI as a Tool but not as a Decision Making Segment.’
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Triffina Princy S of I M.Com, who acknowledged the support by the management, HoD, Club Coordinator,  Faculty Members, Students, and organizing committee for making the event a grand success.
