Economics Department Fresher’s DAY
The Economics Department Fresher’s day was celebrated in the PG and Research Department of Economics, National College (Autonomous) on 03rd August 2026 at Principal Saranathan Hall. Dr. K. Rajesh Head of the department preside over the function. Dr. K. Rajesh honored adorned the shawl and memento to the chief guest, Dr. D. Prasanna Balaji, Principal, National College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli. He addressed the first-year students and encouraged them to make the most of their college life. He advised them to be disciplined, punctual, and committed to their studies. He emphasized the importance of developing good communication skills, building self-confidence, and maintaining a positive attitude. He also encouraged students to participate in extracurricular activities, improve their leadership abilities, and work well with others. The Principal reminded them to set clear goals, manage their time wisely, and continuously learn new skills. He concluded by motivating the students to believe in themselves, respect their teachers and peers, and strive for both academic excellence and personal growth. The Department Fresher’s DAY was organized by Lt. Dr. G. Rajesh Vice-President of Economic Association. Dr. K. Iyana, Dr. P. Devi Mariammal, Dr. R. Geetha, Dr. A. Kayalvizhi, Dr. C. Subramanian, Dr. B. Chithirairajan, Assistant Professors and students are also present the meeting. Finally Ms. Sharmila Devi proposed vote of thanks.
