Department of Commerce’s Marketing Day – “Eat, Shop, Repeat – unfolded as a vibrant celebration of innovation, enterprise, and experiential learning, transforming yte campus into a dynamic hub of creativity and commerce. The auspicious occasion commenced with the solemn blessings of Rev. Dr. Pavulraj Micheal SJ, Rector, whose invocation set a spiritual tone of gratitude and inspiration. This was followed by the felicitation address of Rev.Dr. M Arockiasamy Xavier Sj, Secretary, who emphasized the transformative role of education in nurturing leaders equipped with both vision and values.

The event was formally inaugurated with the symbolic ribbon cutting by Rev. Dr. S Mariadoss SJ, Principal, a gesture marking the threshold to opportunity and enterprise, while the first sale was ceremoniously initiated by Dr. D Kumar, Deputy Principal, Thereby setting into motion a day replete with entrepreneurial vigor. With over forty stalls brimming with culinary delights,  artisanal products, and inventive concepts, the event transcended the boundaries of a  mere exhibition to emerge as a living laboratory of marketing practice. Under the leadership of Dr. G John Head of the Commerce Department, and Guidance of Dr.B. Augustine Arockiaraj and under the  coordination of   Dr. A.Francis Vijayakumar, Dr. S.Jerome and Dr. B.Nalini students demonstrated remarkable ingenuity in product positioning, pricing strategies, persuasive communication, and consumer engagement, embodying the core principles of commerce in action.

The initiative served as an invaluable platform for fostering experiential learning, equipping participants with indispensable life skills such as teamwork, adaptability, risk-taking, and customer-centric innovation. Beyond the academic dimension, Marketing Day created an ecosystem of collaboration and camaraderie, uniting the faculty, students community, and visitors in a collective celebration of youthful energy and entrepreneurial aspiration. Its impact resonates beyond the confines of the day itself, for it not only illuminated the pedagogical power of practice but also instilled in students the confidence to envision themselves as future innovators and responsible leaders in rapidly evolving marketplace.
