St. Joseph’s Alumni Competency Series (JACS) #2 Successfully Conducted.
Tiruchirappalli, 20 September 2025 – The Alumni Association of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous) successfully hosted the second session of its Joseph Alumni Competency Series (JACS) online via Zoom.

The event commenced with Mrs. S. Thulasi Bharathi, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, who introduced the program. Dr. B. Rex Cyril, Coordinator, Shift II, Department of Computer Science, welcomed the gathering, and Dr. Antony John Prabhu introduced the Chief Guest to the students.
The session featured Mr. G. John Paul, Senior Software Engineer at ADigiElite, Dubai, who conducted a technical training on “Next-Gen Coding: Leveraging AI Tools for Software Development.” He demonstrated technologies including VS Code, Claude AI, ChatGPT, Codex, Hugging Face, Perplexity, Canva AI, Cursor AI, and Deep Learning, offering students practical insights through live demonstrations.

Students from Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, B.Voc (Software Development & System Administration), and AI actively participated in the Q&A session, gaining valuable knowledge from the training. The program concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. A. Aloysius, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science.
The session successfully raised student awareness of AI tools, encouraged skill development in emerging technologies, and strengthened alumni–student connections through the JACS initiative.
